Alex Ciavarelli

Alex Ciavarelli is a San Diego-based guitarist specializing in jazz performance. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from San Diego State University and performs throughout San Diego and Southern California in both solo and ensemble settings.

Alex has toured extensively throughout the United States performing in straight-ahead jazz and gypsy-jazz ensembles. His playing draws influence from jazz guitarists and musicians including Joe Pass, Andreas Oberg, Oscar Peterson, Pat Martino, and George Benson.

In 2024, Alex released his debut album, A Tribute to Oscar Peterson on Guitar, adapting the music and musical approach of legendary jazz pianist Oscar Peterson for jazz guitar.

His ability to perform both as a solo guitarist and as part of larger jazz configurations makes him a strong fit for hotels, restaurants, cocktail hours, private events, weddings, upscale hospitality settings, and other live-music environments.
